We will remember them
This evening, on Remembrance Day vs. the Glasgow Clan at the Skydome Arena, the Genting Casino Coventry Blaze will be wearing special Five-on-3 ‘Armistice Day’ Jerseys to mark the 100th anniversary of the Great War Armistice, which brought an end to the First World War.
To honour our local heroes, each jersey holds the name of a soldier from the various suburbs of Coventry who fought and passed away in the First World War.
During the day, our players have been paying respects to the individuals named on their jerseys across various social media platforms.
The Blaze would like to say thank you to Nick from Five-on-3 for coming up with the jersey design, and including the names of fallen soldiers from the Coventry area.
We would also like to pass on huge appreciation to Richard Hardy (@redvark), who proposed the idea and carried out all of the research that has been shared by the club and its players today on social media.
We will remember them.
