Ferrara returns for Blaze on Friday

Head Coach Danny Stewart has confirmed that forward Luke Ferrara will return to the Coventry Blaze line-up against the Manchester Storm on Friday (7pm).

With the Elite League season suspended, Ferrara has spent the past few months playing in France and later Poland with Krakow who he helped to the Polish Playoff Finals.

Krakow were defeated 4-1 in the best-of-seven series by Jastrzebie to end the Polish season on Saturday opening the opportunity for Ferrara to fly back to the UK and join the Blaze for the remainder of the Elite Series.

In his third season with the Blaze, Ferrara led the 2019/20 Elite League with 33 regular season goals which was the first time a British player had earned that accolade.

In the 47 regular season games, Ferrara also collected 21 assists for a total of 54 points (4th best in the league) and was named in the Elite League's First All-Star team.

Ferrara will again wear number 19 for the Blaze and will resume his associate captaincy role.
