Elite Series Format

The Coventry Blaze are set to return to the ice in the Elite League series, to be played behind closed doors at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham.

The entire event will be run according to the Elite League's COVID-19 protocols and Return to Play guidelines. The EIHL is in constant dialogue with DCMS and other bodies to ensure the highest possible standards of COVID-19 compliance are met.

Preparation

Training camp will begin in the Week of 29th March.

Regular season

Double round-robin format. Each team will be playing two "home" and two "away" games against the other three. Teams will supply certain elements to make it feel like their home games.

Regular EIHL rules regarding overtime and shootouts will apply.

Teams will play at least three games each week.

Games begin on the 3rd April and are scheduled to run until the 25th April.

The final league standings will determine the seedings for the playoffs.

Playoffs

Playoff semi-finals, a "home-and-away" aggregate scoring series, will take place between Tuesday 27th April and Thursday 29th April.

Tuesday 4.30pm and 8.15pm. Wednesday and Thursday 7pm. 

The final will be a best-of-three series. The games will be played on Saturday 1st May, Sunday 2nd May and Monday 3rd May* (*if necessary). All with 7pm face-off times.
