Debut GB cap for Liam Stewart
With a 4-2 victory over Croatia at the World Championship Division 1 Group B in Belfast’s SSE Arena, Liam Stewart joined Sam Duggan and Brendan Brooks in picking up his first Team Great Britain cap.
The caps were presented pre-game by Ice Hockey UK General Secretary Andy French in a special ceremony in the dressing room.
Brooks became the 400th-capped player in GB history, with Duggan 401 and Stewart 402.
GB General Manager, Andy Buxton, said: “This is a very special moment for all three players and I am sure one they will never forget.”
Russell Cowley was a scorer for Team GB with the other goals credited to Robert Dowd, David Clarke and Evan Mosey.
