The Cassidy Coventry Blaze are delighted to confirm that long serving defenceman, James Pease has been granted a testimonial game in recognition of his long service with the club.

Pease made his senior debut for the then Solihull Blaze during the 1996/97 season and signed his first contract with the club the following year.  Since then, Pease has spent his entire career with the Blaze with the exception of the 2003/04 season where he divided his time between the Blaze and Milton Keynes.  He has now made over 600 first team appearances for the club and is also a current member of the Great Britain national team.

His special night will take place on Tuesday 25th March 2008 and he will be reuniting many of the famous 2004/05 Blaze Grand Slam team to take on the current Blaze roster and a few other famous Blaze faces from the past.

Already confirmed for the Grand Slammers are Graham Schlender and Chris MacNamara who will be flying in from Canada for the game, plus Andre Payette, Joel Poirier, Ashley Tait, Jody Lehman, Dan Shea, Tom Watkins, Dan Carlson, Adam Calder, Russell Cowley and Neal Martin.

The Blaze select side to take on the stars of 04/05 will include Lee Richardson, Hilton Ruggles, Steve Chartrand, Shaun Johnson, Michael Tasker, Barry Hollyhead, Kurt Irvine, Gareth Owen, Trevor Koenig, Matt Soderstrom, Jonathan Weaver, Barrie Moore, Danny Stewart, Curtis Huppe, Sylvain Cloutier, James Archer, James Cooke, Joe Henry and Tom Pease.

Tickets for the game, which starts at 7.30pm, will go on sale from the Skydome Arena box office on Monday 4th February and are priced at £10 for adults, £8 for under 16’s and OAPs and £26 for a family ticket.  Blaze season tickets and corporate season tickets are not valid for the game but all will have their seats reserved for them until 6.00pm on the day of the game.
