The Coventry Blaze are one of the most successful sporting teams in the City of Coventry. As well as ice hockey, the city offers a number of other sporting days out and activities to get involved with:

Football (a.k.a Soccer)

Football is the biggest sport in the UK, the Premier League being the most-watched sporting league in the world.

Ice hockey though is the most well attended in-door sport.

Many of our former players have taken the opportunity to visit the football grounds of Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea to name but a few. Others have also visited Wembley Stadium for International England matches.

Coventry City are the most well-known football team in the city. Due to an on-going dispute, they currently play their home games at Birmingham's St Andrew's stadium. This is just a short drive or train jouney from Coventry. The club participate in League One (the second division of English football).

In Birmingham, you can easily get to Aston Villa's home ground, as well as Leicester City who were the Premier League Champions of 2015/16.

Also playing out of the Ricoh Arena are Wasps Rugby Club of the Aviva Premiership. Originally London based, the team moved to Coventry in 2015 and have been a huge success in the city since, averaging a crowd of around 17,000. Playing just a few minutes' walk from the Skydome (Butts Park Arena) is Coventry Rugby Club who participate in the SSE National League 1 (the third tier of the English rugby union system).  If Rugby League is more your thing, the Coventry Bears participate in the Kingstone Press League 1 (third tier of rugby league), also at the Butts Park Arena.

The city's current leading cricket club is Coventry and North Warwickshire Cricket Club. The teams play their home games at the club's ground in Binley Road, Coventry. Edgbaston, based in Birmingham where the English national team often play on home soil is within easy reach from Coventry.

Warwick Races

With Jumps meetings taking place on weekdays and weekends, afternoons and evenings, the racecourse has something for everybody from excellent raceday packages to elegant hospitality suites, marquees and private boxes.

There are many amazing golf courses in the UK, including those in and around the Coventry and Warwickshire area:
