Coventry City offers something for everyone. The following websites are highly recommended:

Here are a just a few of our picks:

Skydome Arena

Our home ice rink is part of an entertainment multi-plex which also includes:

The City Centre, just a couple of minutes walk from the Skydome is home to a wide selection of shops, from top name brands to many independent retailers. Next to the ice rink you'll find the well known home and furnishing store IKEA. As you walk into town you'll see the vast Coventry market selling a variety of fresh produce, then within minutes you'll hit the many high street brands serving all of your shopping needs.

A number of cinema are within close distance to Coventry. The Odeon at the Skydome Arena (as above) being the closest.

Slightly further afield there is the Showcase located near the M6 motorway, Cineworld at Resorts World (great for shopping and dining!) in Birmingham or VUE in Royal Leamington Spa.

The Belgrade Theatre can be found in the city centre, a few minutes’ walk from the Skydome Arena. Offering a range of entertaining and engaging live experiences.

Warwick Arts Centre

Located on University of Warwick’s campus. Approx. a 10 minute drive from the city centre. Free parking is available across campus each evening from 6pm. One of the largest multi-art form venues in the UK, offering cinema, performance and visual arts. The world's best stand-up comedians often perform at the Arts Centre too.

Herbert Art Gallery

Also located in the city centre, next to the cities Cathedral's. Many of the exhibits and activities on offer here are free of charge. They also have a wide range of family friendly activities on offer throughout the year.

Transport Museum

Located in the city centre, across from the main bus station is Coventry’s (free admission) transport museum. Whether you want to see the bus that carried the city's 1987 FA cup winning team through the streets of Coventry or find the current world record holding vehicle to ever achieve 763mph on land, the ThrustSSC, this is the place to visit.

Fargo Village

Fargo village is a creative space with independent shopping, street food, markets, vintage and creative studios, located just outside of the city centre.

Coventry Cathedral was voted as the UK’s third leading landmark in a project which aimed to identify 21 iconic sites that defined 21st century Britain. The newer of our Cathedral's opened in 1962, located directly opposite our older Cathedral ruins, bombed during the war in 1940. There is always lots going on at the Cathedral, including Faith and Community sessions and Music events/festivals.

Coombe Abbey

A hotel set in the tranquil Warwickshire countryside. With 500 acres of parkland, formal gardens and a peaceful lake, you can explore the outdoors and then retire to the restaurant or bar for afternoon cream tea or a medieval banquet. Many events are held at the elegant Abbey, including murder mystery and music Legends nights. For the past two years, we have been lucky enough to hold our end of season awards show at Coombe Abbey.

Pubs and restaurants

Coventry is home to a number of fantastic pubs and restaurants. A member of Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), one of our favourites is the Old Windmill on Spon Street, the oldest pub in Coventry, just a minutes walk from the Skydome Arena.

The Aardvark and The Phoenix are popular venues for the big sporting events, whilst you can find beers from around the world at Inspire - set within a church spire! That's not all, if you choose to visit the Slug and Lettuce Cocktail Bar you'll be enjoying a drink in the Old County Hall which dates back to 1783 and until the mid 80's used to be the main court in Coventry!

The City Centre is home to many UK restaurant chains, including Bella Italia, Pizza Express, Cafe Rouge, Nando's and Wagamama.

Other dining choices include Queens Road Restaurant Bar & Grill, specialising in local British ingredients, with distinctive flavour and texture combinations and Bayley Lane Kitchen, a beautiful independent bistro bar offering a casual dining experience.

Las Iguanas, offers an irresistible bolt of Latin American energy and there are of course a large number of Thai, Chinese, Lebanese and Indian establishments.

The Botanist has also recently opened in the City Centre - a place not to be missed!

Outside of the centre, you'll find Miller and Carters Steakhouse, the fabulous Hickory's Smokehouse and a number of Toby Carvery amongst many others - whatever your favoured choice of restaurant, you'll be well catered for here in Coventry.
