The Coventry Blaze are based in the West Midlands of Great Britain. The club competes in the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL), the UK’s premier top-flight ice hockey league.

Ice hockey is the number-one attended indoor professional sport in the UK and overall it is the third largest winter spectator sport in the UK after football and rugby union.

The EIHL (founded in 2003) consists of ten teams representing all four Home Nations. The nine other clubs are the Belfast Giants, Glasgow Clan, Cardiff Devils, Dundee Stars, Fife Flyers, Guildford Flames, Manchester Storm, Nottingham Panthers and Sheffield Steelers.

The Blaze, four time Elite League Champions (history), generally play once home and once away on Saturday and Sunday (between August and April), and on occasion mid-week.

Home games are played at the Skydome Arena, a 3,000 seat rink which is often all-but filled to capacity.

The Skydome complex itself is home to a number of restaurants, bars, Odeon Cinema, gym and our title sponsor Genting Casino.

Off the ice, we run a successful community programme which involves working with local schools, charities and businesses.

Playing with the Coventry Blaze can offer a variety of benefits including well-appointed accommodation in the cities most desirable areas, private vehicles and fitness club membership at the state-of-the-art Village Hotel, offering premium gym, swimming, and health and fitness facilities. We also offer a number of education packages in association with the world-renowned Coventry University.

Coventry itself sits at the heart of the UK. Surrounded by history, all types of entertainment is available in the city, from museums, theatre, cinema, golfing, restaurants/bars and famous sports teams including Coventry City Football Club and Wasps Rugby Club.

The City is located just 95 miles northwest of central London, and 19 miles from Birmingham and the famous Stratford-upon-Avon (read more). Travel to Europe is simple with various airports easily accessible (find out more). The Eurostar from London to Paris is also a popular trip for many of our players.
