10/03/2010
The ENL Blaze, featuring eight of the the Blaze squad from the midweek Best of British game including Man of the Match Aidan Mahmud, have just two games left both of them against the Trafford Metros, at home this Saturday 13th March 2010 then away next weekend.
The win in the game last weekend was enough to secure their place in the play-offs and two more points would ensure a fourth place finish. On the other side of the coin the Metros are desperate for maximum points from these two games if they are to stand any chance of avoiding the relegation play-off. The ENL Blaze are hopeful of being back to full strength with Tom Ledgard returned to the side last week following a concussion and netminder Steve Doyle has returned to training this week following his injury.
The game faces off at 5:00pm with the doors opening at around 4:15pm with programmes, 50/50 and raffles tickets on sale from the programme stall along with a few remaining 2008/09 season game worn shirts for just £30.
Once the game has started the door to Crosbys under block 7 will be open and you are more than welcome to bring any drinks back into the arena. After the game join Joel, Reg and the rest of the team in Crosbys where you will also be able to keep up to date with the EIHL Blaze team's progress against the Nottingham Panthers on the screens via The Fire and Ice Forum's Match Night Live coverage. Children are also welcome in Crosbys until 9pm.
