Defenceman Josh Godrey was the proud winner of the award for September but who will it be this time round?!
Canadian forward Matt Marquardt was the club’s top point-scorer in October, netting 3 goals and 6 assists over the 11 games, including the overtime winner in an impressive 2-3 victory over the Cardiff Devils at Ice Arena Wales.
Swede, Robin Bergman who now leads the team for goals had a strong month hitting 4 goals and 3 assists, whilst Taylor Carnevale can throw his hat into the ring despite only joining mid-way through the month, contributing an impressive 6 assists in just 5 games.
Defenceman Jim Jorgensen, a.k.a #MavellousJim has clocked up big minutes in the absences of Marc Cantin, Josh Godfrey and David Clements at various times over the month, adding 2 goals and 5 assists too.
Liam Stewart, who has recently been called up to the Great Britain National Team has become a huge fan favourite in Coventry with his tireless work-rate, strong penalty-killing efforts and also adding a couple of goals in October. The forward’s performances were also awarded with three Man of the Match awards.
Or maybe you most appreciate the efforts of big Garrett Klotz, fighting against some of the toughest players the UK has seen in Cardiff’s former NHLer, Patrick Bordeleau, Belfast’s Matt Nickerson and Steelers’ Zack Fitzgerald (twice!) – he also scored twice!
