#Support25 benefit game tomorrow
Genting Casino Coventry Blaze will face-off against the Sheffield Steelers tomorrow night at the Skydome Arena (7.30pm) in a benefit game to support one of the club's greatest ever players, Adam Calder in his fight against cancer.
Adam has been privately battling the cancer for the past two years but is now required to seek additional treatment not available on the NHS, thus incurring significant costs.
As a club, and with overwhelming backing from the worldwide hockey family we launched the Support 25 campaign to raise funds to help Adam seek the treatment he requires.
To this point we have raised well over £21,000 through the generosity of donations and the 25 for 25 auction - we can't thank those who have helped so far enough, however big or small, every little counts.
Tomorrow night will see the main event of the Support 25 campaign, Blaze vs. Sheffield Steelers. Two periods of exciting 3-on-3 hockey and a skills competition contested by players from both teams (7.30pm). This will be a fun event and we encourage as many fans as possible to come along to support Adam.
There will be numerous fundraising activities throughout the evening and both teams will be wearing special commemorative jerseys which will be auctioned to rasie funds for the campaign (more details).
Don't forget Papa John's Pizza, Planet Ice at the Skydome are donating half of all large pizza sales to Support 25 so why not grab your dinner with them and further aid Adam's fund in the process (full info).
Tickets are £10 for adults, £5 for under 16's.
If you are unable to attend the game but would like to buy a ticket/make a donation, please do this via the Support 25 Just Giving site.
