Stars shine bright in final ten to beat Blaze
Three unanswered goals in the third period were enough for the Dundee Stars to beat the Genting Casino Coventry Blaze by a score of 4-2.
After a scoreless first, Ben Lake on his 101st appearance for the Blaze scored his 11th of the year to give the away side a 0-1 lead, tipping home a Tim Crowder shot on the powerplay (25.22).
The game was level on 35.26 as Francois Bouchard benefited from a fortunate bounce off the boards, the assist going to former Blaze defenceman Shawn Boutin, his first of two on the night.
Coventry got themselves ahead again with just over ten minutes remaining in the game, Brit Luke Ferrara beating Pontus Sjogren in close for 1-2 at 49.45.
Then though came the trio of strikes that saw the Scottish side take victory. Italy international Mike Sullivan bagged a double (53.40 and 57.23) with Charles Corcoran (58.20) wrapping up the scoring 4-2.
