Present drop at UHCW Charity
Young patients on the children’s ward at University Hospital in Coventry were happy to meet Matt Marquardt, Kevin Noble, Scorch and members of the PET-Xi team as they visited to wish all of the youngsters and staff a Merry Christmas, and drop off the presents kindly donated by Blaze fans.
They were guided around the ward by Hospital Nurse, Jenny Waring, and Community and Events Fundraising Manager, Maureen Mason, and spoke to each of the children that were in the ward and their families.
Blaze Ticket and Promotions Executive, Dale Buckland said, "After the amazing donations by the fans for the present drop against the Dundee Stars, we managed the fill 8 sacks and they were donated to the Children’s Ward at UHCW. Obviously being in hospital is never nice, especially around Christmas, hopefully their time was made a little easier. Seeing the smiles on the children and families faces when they saw Matt, Kevin and Scorch was fantastic.”
