Noble set to miss out again

Genting Casino Coventry Blaze Head Coach Danny Stewart has confirmed that defenceman Kevin Noble will again remain side-lined this weekend despite some progress on his lower body injury.

The Blaze take on Cardiff Devils at the Skydome tomorrow (7pm face-off) before travelling to Glasgow to take on the Braehead Clan on Sunday evening.

Noble, who joined the club ahead of the 2015/16 season from Tulsa Oilers, has cut a frustrated figure being forced to watch on from the side-lines since picking up an injury against Nottingham Panthers on January 8th.

Danny Stewart said this afternoon, “Kevin is desperate to get back on the ice and be playing hockey for this club, but I am not putting one of my players at risk, he will play when he is 100% and not before.”

Stewart, who celebrates his 38th Birthday today continued, “We thought Kevin may be back this week, and his progress has been encouraging, but he is still isn’t right, maybe next week we will see him back, but we will have to see and continue to monitor his progress. The most important thing is that we focus on these two games this weekend, starting with Cardiff tomorrow.”
