Keeno role expanded thanks to DRP Logistics
This past summer, Dayle "Keeno" Keen (@Keeeeno88) joined the Genting Casino Coventry Blaze in the position of Skills Development Coach.
The arrangement has seen Keen teaching and running training sessions during the week, and where possible joining Head Coach Danny Stewart on the bench for game nights.
Having made an outstanding impression on the coach and players, with the backing of our partners DRP Logistics, Keen has now agreed to commit additional time to the club and will be on the Blaze bench for all games.
It’s a move that has delighted Stewart, who said, “Keeno had committed initially to taking one training session per-week to help us focus on skill development. He has begun this and so far, has created a great relationship with the players and staff. Now, with the great support from Rob Plaister at DRP Logistics, we are delighted to have him here for weekend games to assist the players and myself on the bench. This league is too good now and another set of knowledgeable eyes will only benefit us and myself going forward, but at the same time provides Keeno with additional experience to develop as a coach.”
In addition to formal coaching roles with Basingstoke Bison under-18’s and Sheffield Steeldogs’ EPIHL side, Keen has worked with some of the finest young players across Scandinavia with the The Suihkonen Hockey Academy and The Furudals Hockeyskola. Within the UK, he has also had the pleasure of being a part of the Best of British Ice Hockey camps.
