Import Blaze players now all home
The Genting Casino Coventry are pleased to confirm that all fourteen of its import players have now been able to successfully travel home.
With the immediate ending of the Elite League season and the COVID-19 situation worsening around the world it was the club’s number one priority to get all players and their families home as quickly, efficiently and safely as possible.
This has been a time-consuming effort and come at a huge unexpected cost to the club.
So, we want to say thank you to everyone for their patience whilst other administrative tasks have been put on hold, and to everyone who has helped in any way, whether it be purchasing a season ticket, buying a jersey in the auction or donating via the Booster Club – thank you. It really means a lot and makes a big difference.
Chairman of the Coventry Blaze, Andy Buxton said, “The current situation is a very worrying one for the club - and of course for most other people - but as an organisation we are doing everything we need to do to get through this international crisis. Our supporters and sponsors are being incredibly supportive and providing whatever help and support they can to assist us to get through. It was our number one priority to get our overseas players home and I want to say a big thank you to our Operations Manager Rob Coleman for all of his hard work in helping us achieve this.”
