Danny Morris is back as Scorch

The Genting Casino Coventry Blaze are happier than ever that Danny Morris has agreed to be their fiery mascot again for the 2017/18 season.

The 26-year-old has been a Blaze fan for 14 years. He started to be Scorch two years ago in November. In that time he has entertained fans and made them laugh.

Danny, has one memorable moment that he would like to share:

“I’d say my favourite moment without a doubt has got to be the Twitter battle with Liam Stewart before the last season, and being able to egg him after the first home game. I mean how often does anyone get to egg Rod Stewart’s son?”

Fans should be careful this season with their food and drinks as Danny finds it funny when he sneaks up on fans and nicks what they are eating or drinking.

Although Danny hasn’t had dance lessons, he shows moves like a pro. Fans are in for a treat this season. When Blaze score, look at block 8 and you might see Scorch banging his drum, dancing and twerking like only he can.

Danny will come back as Scorch on Wednesday 23rd of August at the Skydome when Coventry Blaze face Manchester Storm.

Danny represents the club brilliantly, supporting lots of activities. We are delighted and lucky to have the best mascot in the league.
