Blaze to take on Steelers in home opener
The Genting Casino Coventry Blaze can confirm their opening home game of the 2019/20 Elite League regular season will be against the Sheffield Steelers on Sunday 8th September 2019 with a 5.30pm face-off.
It will mean an early return to the Skydome for Blaze’s top goal and point scorer from the 2017/18 season, Marco Vallerand who after a year in the Alps Hockey League has returned to the UK with the Steelers.
The game will follow three pre-season games at the Skydome as follows:
- Sunday 25th August vs. Nottingham Panthers (Aladdin Cup – 5.30pm)
- Wednesday 28th August vs. Manchester Storm (7.30pm)
- Saturday 31st August vs. Guildford Flames (7pm)
Ticket information will be released in the coming weeks.
The Elite Ice Hockey League will release its full fixtures for the 2019/20 season at 6am on Tuesday 23rd July.
For the new season, the league have made an investment in ECal, which means that fans from across the league will be able to download and sync fixtures for the entire league, or individual teams to their respective online calendars via the ECal link:
The fixtures will be released at 6am on Tuesday 23rd July exclusively on ECal before being made available on club websites etc. at 9am.
