Blaze to face Storm in 'Play-In' game
After the Nottingham Panthers defeated Manchester Storm twice in Group C of the Challenge Cup this weekend, it’s been confirmed that the Genting Casino Coventry Blaze will face the Storm in a one-off play-in game for a place in the quarterfinals.
The venue is to be confirmed based on the Blaze’s result vs. Guildford Flames at the Skydome Arena (7pm) this Saturday.
With each team on 6 points in their respective groups and both having 2 regulation wins, the third tiebreaker comes into action.
Manchester currently have 3 total wins (including overtime and penalties) and so currently hold the home advantage, but at least a point vs. Flames, will see Blaze with a better record and the game be played at the Skydome Arena.
The date of the game is to be confirmed.
