Blaze to complete defence with new name

The Genting Casino Coventry Blaze will announce the name of their final defenceman for the 2019/20 Elite League season at 12.30pm today (Tuesday 25th June).

It’s a new face to the league and club and so we would like to say thank you and send best wishes for the future to Kevin Noble, Chris Joyaux and Ivan Puzic, who along with Nicolai Bryhnisveen (confirmed as signing for Stavanger Oilers) made up last season’s defence core.

31-year-old Canadian, Noble iced 252 times for the Blaze over four years (2015-19) and last season took upon the role of player/assistant coach. He is a former associate captain of the club (2017/18) and once named defenceman of the season (2016/17).

American Joyaux, who studied at Coventry University Business School, played 73 times in the last campaign registering 34 points with Puzic, a mid-season acquisition and the first Croation to play for the Blaze making 36 appearances, adding 7 points.
