25 for 25 Day 16: Retro NHL Sunday

Day 16 of the 25 for 25 auction and we’re going NHL retro, offering you the chance to own not one but two limited edition

NHL World All-Stars Authentic Jersey

The first, is a 2000 NHL World All-Stars authentic size 48 air-knit jersey by CCM. Sewn to the right breast are the 2000 NHL All Star and year 2000 NHL patches. Sewn to the chest is also the official NHL crest.

Brothers Pavel and Valeri Bure combined for six points to lead the World All-Stars to its first All-Star Game victory, defeating North America 9-4 in the 2000 All-Star Game. Pavel recorded the 11th hat trick in All-Star history and was named the Game's MVP.

These jerseys debuted in Toronto for the 2000 game but such as their popularity they were also re-used in Denver the next year.

Gordie Howe NHL Alumni Association Jersey

Second, is a very special charity jersey, dedicated to the late Gordie Howe, designed in support of the NHL Alumni Association, which serves as a passionate advocate for greater quality of life benefits for all former NHL players. Size XL.

The NHLA serves its retired player members and their families through the NHL Alumni Association and supports youth and community charities through various charitable initiatives.  Since their inception in 1999 the NHL Alumni has made significant impact on both the retired player community as well as children’s charities (find out more).

The jersey has the NHL Alumni logo stitched to front, with the tag line "Hockey’s Greatest Family"

On reverse, it’s Gordie Howe’s famous number #9 and stitched wording, "Gordie Howe, My Hockey"

Both jerseys kindly donated to us by our friends at Kings of the Ice Memorabilia in Ontario (@KingsOfTheIce).
