2019 Christmas Present Drop for UHCW

On Sunday, we will finalise our successful Christmas charity drive with a ‘Present Drop’ as we take on the Dundee Stars (15th December 2019 - 5.30pm) at the Skydome Arena.

In support of University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire Charity (UHCW), we’re asking fans to bring presents to help make Christmas special for patients at the hospital. They will be delivered by the players on Friday 20th December.

The presents should be new and in original packaging and can be suitable for ALL ages as the players will be visiting the child and adult wards.

Please leave the presents unwrapped and kindly hand them in to the representatives from UHCW at the FanHub.

Jo O’Sullivan, Head of Charity, said, “We are delighted that Coventry Blaze will again be supporting us with a Present Drop and we're looking forward to having the players come to visit us and the patients at the hospital. They always put a smile on the faces of those in the wards and the donated presents make a massive difference so thanks to everyone in advance and see you on Sunday!"

The funds raised at UHCW Charity go towards important equipment, pioneering research and all the important extras that make our hospitals and community services so special. The projects and services that they fund fall outside the remit of the NHS.  It is thanks to the generous support of their fundraisers that they help our local hospitals and community services to provide a level of patient care beyond what NHS funding alone can deliver.
