Dr Matt Robins - Team Doctor
Dr Matt has worked with the Blaze for many years and brings extensive medical experience to the team. He also is a specialist in providing medical services to large events and festivals including the London 2012 Olympics. As well as taking care of all the medical needs of the team, Dr Matt also is responsible for providing medical cover for Blaze home games. Dr Matt also served five years as the Doctor to the Great Britain ice hockey team and was the tournament doctor for the recent Women's World Championships in Hull.
Nikki Sherlock - Physiotherapist
Nikki is the Head Physiotherapist for the Coventry Blaze and brings a wealth of experience in sports rehabilitation. She has worked with the team for many years and also served as the physiotherapist to the Great Britain ice hockey team for four years. Nikki combines her work with the Blaze with running her own physiotherapy clinic, "Elite Therapy"
Matt Griffin - Strength and Conditioning Coach
Matt is the Strength & Conditioning coach at Coventry Blaze. He will be working with the players to improve muscular strength and overall fitness levels through gym based training. Matt is a fully qualified Strength & Conditioning coach as well as having a BSc (Hons) degree in Sport & Exercise Therapy; so will also be working with the players during rehabilitation. Matt also works as a personal trainer to the public, promoting health and fitness for everyone.
Steve Small - Team Manager
As Team Manager, Steve is responsible for all of the logistics involved in icing a team in the Elite League. He also takes on the role of Equipment Manager organising all of the equipment needed for home and away games. Steve has been involved with ice hockey for more years than he cares to remember, starting many years ago with the Solihull Barons. His phenomenal commitment to the club was recognised when he was awarded the John Crook Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Club by the Club's Directors at the end of the 2011/12 season.
