Team Support Staff
Dr Matt Robins - Team Doctor Dr Matt has worked with the Blaze for many years and brings extensive medical experience to the team. He also is a specialist in providing medical services to large events and festivals including the London 2012 Olympics. As well as taking care of all the medical needs of the team, Dr Matt also is responsible for providing medical cover for Blaze home games. Dr Matt also served five years as the Doctor to the Great Britain ice hockey team and was the tournament doctor for the recent Women's World Championships in Hull.
Nikki is the Head Physiotherapist for the Coventry Blaze and brings a wealth of experience in sports rehabilitation. She has worked with the team for many years and also served as the physiotherapist to the Great Britain ice hockey team for four years. Nikki combines her work with the Blaze with running her own physiotherapy clinic, "Elite Therapy"
As Team Manager, Steve works with Head Coach, Paul Thompson to take care of the logistics involved in icing a team in the Elite League. He also works with Equipment Manager/Assistant Coach Matt Soderstrom on organising all of the equipment needed for home and away games. Steve has been involved with ice hockey for more years than he cares to remember, starting many years ago with the Solihull Barons. His phenomenal commitment to the club was recognised when he was awarded the John Crook Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Club by the Club's Directors at the end of the 2011/12 season.
