Mike Cowley - Managing Director
One of the original founders of the club, Mike Cowley has been Managing Director of the Blaze since 1997 and has vast experience in British Ice Hockey. Mike is the club's director on the Elite League board and previously served as a director of Ice Hockey UK.
One of the original founders of the club, Andy Buxton has been Blaze Chairman since 1997. Andy's dedication to the sport has seen him previously act as General Manager for the Great Britain Ice Hockey Team between 2007 and 2012 as well as currently serving as an Ambassador for the City of Coventry.
Paul Thompson was Head Coach of the Blaze from its inception until the end of the 2012/13 season. He led the club to 15 major titles over 18 years at the helm of the club before stepping down to take a coaching role at Troja-Ljungby in the Allsvenskan League in Sweden. He became a co-owner of the team in 2004 and despite spending the winter months coaching abroad, retains primary responsibility for the full hockey operations side of Coventry Blaze. Paul also serves as an Ambassador of the City of Coventry and has been awarded an honorary doctorate from Coventry University in recognition of his service to ice hockey.
James Pease became the General Manager in 2009 after playing for the club for over 10 years. He then moved on to become the Director of Community Operations. James has represented his country on numerous occassions and has inplemented huge changes to the Blaze's community involvement since his appointment.
Sally Mahers - Commercial Operations
Sally joined the Blaze in 2003 as Marketing officer and worked her way up through the Blaze ranks. In Late 2011 she was promoted to General manager. Sally now runs her own Marketing Company but continues to work on a part time basis with the club, looking after all sponsor relationships.
Sarah Hancock joined the organisation's marketing team in 2010 after graduating with a Masters degreefrom Coventry University. After a year long internship as part of her University Degree, Sarah now works full time for the Blaze marketing team where she is responsible for marketing and promotions for the club.
The long time Blaze supporter, became the club's Marketing Executive after many years working with the club on game nights and events. During the 2011 season Rob was responsible for promoting the club throughout the region. With Sarah Hancock moving over to the Blaze operation to take on the marketing role, Rob has moved into a fan focused role. Within this role Rob is responsible for Blaze media communications and fan relations. Rob has also taken on the role of the BCF Schools Partnership Co-ordinator.
Daniel joined the Blaze in the spring of 2012 as Community Education Manager after working for the club as a volunteer for 9 years on a match night. Daniel, a University of Warwick graduate, will be responsible for delivering education and training to young people aged 16-18 via the Sports Foundation Learning programme.
