Egener happy to reunited with Henrich
Genting Casino Coventry Blaze defenceman Mike Egener is excited at finally being reunited with Adam Henrich – for the fifth time! Egener has played on the same team as Henrich for Springfield Falcons, Johnstown Chiefs, Norfolk Admirals and Ontario Reign. Henrich has agreed to join Blaze for the rest of the season with coach Paul Thompson having been chasing his signature for some time. Egener said: “Henny is a big, tall forward, with good hands and a good shot. He will give us what we have been lacking in front of the net. “He goes to the gritty areas, he will put points up for us and he has been known to drop the mitts. He is not afraid of playing physical. “He is a good team-mate. I have played with him for five or six years in my pro career for a bunch of different teams. “There was a possibility of getting him earlier in the year but things did not work out. Thommo talked to me about him before and I gave him my feedback. I am really excited to have him on board.” Blaze take on Nottingham Panthers at the Skydomein the Rapid Solicitors Elite League Erhardt Conferenceon Saturday February 2 (7pm face-off). Tickets can be purchased by ringing the Box Office on 02476 630693 (option 0). |
